High-Performance Envelopes: Active Sustainability and Bioactive Materials
We design facades that not only protect the building, but interact with the urban ecosystem to improve air quality.
The modern building is an organism that interacts with the urban microclimate. At VM Group, we move beyond the concept of passive energy efficiency (insulation) by introducing the concept of active sustainability: cladding surfaces that actively reduce air pollutants and maintain their aesthetic and functional performance over time.

Bioactive Surface Technologies
We integrate surface treatment protocols that transform the façade into an active filter. In the presence of sunlight and atmospheric humidity, our solutions activate natural chemical-physical processes that neutralize pollutants (NOx) and prevent the proliferation of pathogens.
The choice of bioactive material is not aesthetic: it is an integral part of our façade engineering protocol, sized based on the solar exposure and environmental pollution of the construction site.
